Defence Minister Gantz has instructed Blue and White chairman Eitan Ginzburg to work with coalition chairwoman Idit Silman to mobilize all possible support for the Family Reunification Law.
At the same time, Gantz has called on Netanyahu, now leading the opposition, to support the law.
"This law is necessary to preserve the security of the state and its Jewish and democratic character, and security considerations must be put above all political considerations. Even in politically charged moments, we put Israel first. I expect the coalition to act responsibly to pass the bill."
