The Washington Post reported that a car bomb shook the Colombian town of Cucuta Tuesday, injuring 36 and leaving three in critical condition.
Defense Minister Diego Molano called it a “vile terrorist attack," naming the National Liberation Army, the largest rebel group in the country, as the likely culprit behind the blast.
The U.S. Embassy tweeted that a small group of military personnel were at the base at the time of the explosion, but avoided injury.
