Foreign Minister Yair Lapid issued an outraged response following reports of people shouting 'Death to Arabs' during the parade through Jerusalem.
" I congratulate the Minister of Public Works, Omar Barlev, on the excellent work managing the event," Lapid noted. "At the same time, the fact that there are extremist elements for whom the Israeli flag represents hatred and racism is abominable and unforgivable. It is inconceivable how one can hold the Israeli flag in one's hand and shout 'Death to the Arabs' at the same time. This is neither Judaism nor Israeliness. These people are a disgrace to the people of Israel, "Lapid added.
