A 82-year-old man drowned on Hemi Zohar beach at the Dead Sea. MDA medics performed lengthy resuscitation operations on him, but were eventually forced forced to confirm his death.
MDA paramedic Zohar Sarbanitzky said: "We arrived at the beach and were led an unconscious man while rescuers performed CPR on him after they had pulled him out of the water.
