Police and the IDF last night thwarted the smuggling of weapons from the Jordanian border and arrested three smugglers, who were caught with 10 Kalashnikov rifles, five sniper rifles, two M-16 rifles, and four pistols.
A reservist and one of the smugglers were wounded by gunfire during the operation. Police will ask today to extend the smugglers' detention.
