President Reuven Rivlin today held a farewell tour of the Israel National Police's headquarters in Jerusalem.
The president entered the national headquarters plaza with an escort of police motorcycles. He reviewed both the honor guard and the Israel Police Orchestra before delivering a parting address.
The president was accompanied by Chief of Police Kobi Shabtai, Deputy Chief of Police David Bitan, and other senior officers.
"The Israel National Police is the foundation of our existence - there is not and will not be civil security without a strong police force. Even when our land is on fire, we have no other country and we have no other police!" Rivlin declared.
