Following a joint investigation by the police and the General Security Service today, an indictment will be filed against Ziad Taha, an associate of Kamal Khatib, deputy head of the northern faction of the Islamic Movement, which has been declared a terrorist organization.
Taha will be detained until the end of proceedings.
An associate of sheikh Khatif, Taha was arrested on suspicion of serious offenses of shooting and possession of an illegal weapon. During the investigation, the suspect turned over a Fort Said submachine gun, which he illegally possessed and used in the shooting.
