Meretz leader Tamar Zandberg has supported support for Minister Gamliel's demand to cancel the agreement to expand the volume of oil to be moved through the Trans-Israel pipeline
"This destructive agreement threatens immediate and fatal damage to the State of Israel, must be annulled immediately," she stated. "This is a hijacking that was carried out without the knowledge of government ministries, certainly not the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and without a risk assessment. In the current era of transition to renewable energies, the continued flow of oil within Israel is toxic, extremely dangerous, and belongs to the past."
