Sources in the Likud told the Ma'ariv daily that, "Most Likud supporters have come to terms with the fact that chances are we are headed for the opposition. There don't appear any practical tools to stop the formation of a Bennett-Lapid coalition. Those wavering within the ranks of Yamina are beginning to come over to Bennett's side. If no big changes take place, this government will be disbandoned and we will serve the public from the opposition."
However, Likud sources estimate that the Bennett-Lapid government will not last long. "Within a year there will be elections again. The right must take advantage of this time to organize, strengthen and draw conclusions so that we can return to power," they pointed out.
