MK Gilad Kariv urged the Commissioner of Police to change the route of a parade scheduled to pass through Jerusalem.
"You must change the parade route, as was suggested on Yom Yerushalayim. This decision must be made quickly to prevent unnecessary escalation. A parade along this route, just two weeks after the end of Guardian of the Walls and the restoration of peace and public order, is an irresponsible act."
"The police must announce quickly and without delay that they will not approve a march on the streets of the Muslim and Christian Quarter. All the reasons that were valid weeks ago are still valid now."
