The public is asked to pray for the recovery of Rabbi Efraim ben Yael, the son of Chacham Shalom Cohen, President of the Sephardic Council of Sages, who is currently being treated in Shaare Zedek's ICU.
Rabbi Efraim Cohen was walking down the street on Wednesday night when a passing bus hit a large piece of piping on the road which flew up and struck him in the head.
He was taken to hospital in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery to his head. He is currently sedated and on a ventilator.
