Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated Isaac Herzog on being elected as the next President of Israel Wednesday.
"I congratulate Isaac Herzog on his election as President of the State and I wish him great success on behalf of all Israeli citizens," Netanyahu said.
"I thank Miriam Peretz for her dignified run and I am convinced that she will continue to contribute to Israeli society as she has done all her life."
