The Ministerial Committee on the Coronavirus on Monday evening approved the Ministry of Health's proposal to extend the obligation to perform a COVID-19 test 72 hours before entering Israel, as well as another test immediately after entering Israel at a border station, until Tuesday, June 29, 2021.

The government also approved the Ministry of Health's proposal to ease aviation restrictions:

1. Abolishing the obligation to maintain a distance of two meters at an airport.

2. Cancellation of the obligation of an outgoing passenger to fill out a health declaration before leaving Israel (filling in an incoming passenger form is still required).

3. Elimination of the option of the airport operator to require passengers departing from Israel to wear a tag noting that their entry into the terminal was permitted.

4. Clarification that changing of a mask is not required during a flight.

5. Clarification that it is not required to reduce service on a flight except for a service whose consumption requires the removal of the mask.

These regulations will be in place until Monday, June 14, 2021. The concessions will take effect 24 hours from the moment they are approved by the government.
