United Hatzalah volunteers responded to brush fires that encroached upon residential neighborhoods in Haifa and Beit Shemesh. In Haifa, the brush fire encroached upon Yad L'banim Street where residents have been evacuated from their homes until firefighters can get the blaze under control.
In Ramat Beit Shemesh, a forest fire spread quickly and swept up to Ribal Street causing a large number of apartment buildings to require evacuation. Firefighters and United Hatzalah volunteers went door-to-door to evacuate residents. Thus far no injuries have yet been reported thanks to the quick work of the first responders at the scenes.
