The Knesset’s Arrangement Committee approved the appointment of MK Emilie Moatti (Labor) as interim deputy speaker of the Knesset, along with MK Boaz Toporovsky, MK Ahmed Tibi, MK Issawi Frej and MK Keren Barak. The appointment will take effect after being approved by the plenum.
"I thank Labor chairwoman MK Merav Michaeli and the committee members for the trust they have placed in me. I undertake to fulfill my role, however temporary, with dedication, fairness and responsibility that will add respect to the Knesset and benefit the general public," said Moatti.
