Transportation Minister Miri Regev of the Likud joined others in attacking the Supreme Court's recent ruling:
''This ruling demonstrates the urgent need to take steps to ensure the rule of the people and restore the balances essential for the separation of powers. The judges' gross entry into the realm of the legislature's powers threatens the rule of law and the foundations of democracy, '' Regev said.
