Meretz leader Tamar Zandberg participated in the Jewish-Arab demonstration in Habima Square.
"The last few days have shown us what life can be like in this country - a nightmare. We do not want to flip the hourglass and wait for the next war, but to change directions; to move towards peace; to live together in true partnership, not hatred and fear. It is no coincidence that this violence erupted just when we felt that Jews and Arabs can cooperate politically as well. There are those who wish to dispense with this dream. We say to them - enough!"
"Even now it is possible and necessary to form a new government, which will not incite and separate Jews and Arabs but will replace the toxic atmosphere. I call on Bennett, Saar, and Gantz - do not let the message from the last few days be to turn our backs on a Jewish-Arab partnership and to promote racism and Kahanism, to fear Arabs, and to embrace radicals. That would be our loss. The victory will be a government that will mark the way to a common life, of peace and equality, of Jews and Arabs together. "
