According to a report in the Maariv newspaper, elements within the Yamina party, bristling at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's treatment of them and particularly of their leader, MK Naftali Bennett, wish to resume negotiations with the "bloc for change" with a view to establishing a government together with Yair Lapid.
Officials quoted in the report said that after Bennett displayed responsibility in announcing that due to the security situation, it was impossible to set up such a broad-based government with such a diverse set of members, Netanyahu "literally disappeared."
