Bloomberg posted, "Iran is close to completing work on a uranium metal factory near the central city of Esfahan, a senior lawmaker told state media," on its social media page.

As part of the Islamic Republic's push to pressure the US administration into dropping sanctions and returning to the 2015 nuclear deal, the plant is expected to be operational by May.

According to a state-run outlet, a spokesman for the parliamentary national security commission said the facility would be ready to operate in the near future.
