Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem congratulated the residents of Lod who revolted, as he put it, in defense of Jerusalem.
"This uprising once again proves the unity of the Palestinian people everywhere," he said, calling on Palestinian Arabs in Judea and Samaria and the rest of Israel to continue in this way.
