The driver of the vehicle that was attacked with stones at the Lions Gate recounted the incident, "We were driving, and along the entire street we got hit with stones." According to him, the axis was full of young Arabs and there was no police presence.
"As we approached the Lions' Gate we got stuck with no ability to get by anymore," the driver added in a conversation with Channel 13.
"I started going in reverse back and forth, while all the windows were shattered. We got hit with stones and gas into the vehicle. Until I hit the concrete - and the vehicle was disabled."
At this point, he said, "the terrorists opened the doors and continued to beat us. We were three people in the vehicle. The police, who were a few meters away, and one policeman named Amir came to cover me. He ran alone and saved us."
