MK Avigdor Liberman, head of the Yisrael Beytenu party, has published a list of his demands for entering a unity government:

- The Draft Law that has already passed its first Knesset reading should be passed without any changes made to it, during the first month of the new government's tenure. (The usual practise is that laws are changed in committee following their initial passing in the Knesset, making this an exceptional demand.)

- Civil marriage to be authorized

- The cancellation of the Rabbinate's "monopoly" on matters of kashrut

- Cancellation of the Supermarkets Law, local authorities to be given the authority to decide on whether local businesses may open on Shabbat

- Streamlining of religious services and the local religious councils to be absorbed into local councils

- Authority to be given to local rabbis to establish rabbinical courts that will be authorized to conduct conversions

- Promotion of the core curriculum among the haredi public via strengthening government support given to "haredi-state schools"
