US President Joe Biden announced today that he has set a new goal of administering at least one Covid-19 vaccine dose to 70% of the US adult population. Biden planse to have 160 million US adults fully vaccinated by July 4.
"150 million Americans have received at least one shot", Biden said and announced the new phase of vaccinations which will focus on kids aged 12-15.
"Our goal by July 4 is to have 70% of adult Americans with at least 1 shot and 160 million Americans fully vaccinated," President Biden said.
"If we succeed in this effort, as we did with the last, then Americans will have taken a serious step towards return to normal."
Biden emphasized that the pace of vaccinations is slowing as expected.
