The Joint List opposes the establishment of the Arab Affairs Committee: "The establishment of the Arab Committee by the far right is a racist move designed to push the Arab public to the margins and prevent them from engaging in matters affecting it in committees of influence and authority."
"As explicitly clarified by coalition representatives, the committee will not have the power to legislate, transfer budgets and make binding decisions. If that is not enough, then most of the committee members belong to right-wing parties, including the Kahanist one, and are in fact controlled by it," the party said in a statement.
