Dr Asher Salmon, Head Department of International Relations Ministry of Health, said that while it wasn't clear whether the Indian COVID variant was the most dangerous to date, entry to Israelis returning from the country as well as foreign workers would be restricted for the immediate future.
Dr. Salmon also told Radio Bet that there was no clear indication available COVID vaccines weren't effective for the new mutation.
