Danny Danon, Israel's ambassador to the UN, sharply criticized a French court's acquittal of a Muslim man who murdered a religious Jewish woman in 2017.

"Sarah Halimi, 65, was a French Jew murdered by her neighbor. He beat her up and threw her from a third floor window as he shouted “Allahu Akbar”. Due to a French high court ruling, this man will not face a criminal trial. Scandalous and unjust," Danon wrote on his social media page.
