Meretz MK Mossi Raz sent a letter to President Rivlin urging him to recognize the Armenian genocide, after US President Biden took a historic step acknowledging the murder committed by Turkish authorities 106 years ago.
"Who understands the importance of being able to identify with the victims and their descendants more than [the Jewish people?] We must follow the brave path chosen by President Biden, despite the political and geopolitical risks it entails, and take a humane stance identifying with the victims of the [Armenian] genocide and their descendants."
