After the US Secretary of Defense's visit to Israel and ahead of Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi's and Mossad chief Yossi Cohen's visit to Washington next week, Israel believes they are nearing a deadlock with the Americans in their ability to influence their return to a nuclear deal on Israeli terms, Ma'ariv reported.

According to the report, the defense establishment estimates that the US decision has already been made: A return to an agreement with Iran, in the first stage - in an interim agreement, in which some of the sanctions will already be removed without a substantial change from the previous nuclear agreement.
