Police said they arrested five suspects during the riots at the Damascus Gate, which included throwing stones, attacking police officers and firing fireworks at them.
It was reported that "many forces were prepared last night ahead of the evening prayer of the month of Ramadan, the Tarawih prayer in which thousands of worshipers took part. After that ended without exceptional incidents and the worshipers had dispersed to their homes to break the fast, hundreds of youths began to disturb the peace near Damascus Gate and Zedekiah's Cave.
