The United Arab Emirates on Saturday named Noura al-Matroushi its first female astronaut.
The news was announced on Twitter by Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who added that Mohammed al-Mulla would be the country's second new astronaut.
