A spokesperson for the Jerusalem Police responded to the attack on MK Ofer Cassif (Joint List) in eastern Jerusalem.
“A preliminary investigation of the incident revealed that during the protest, one of the demonstrators attacked one of the policemen, while kicking him and hitting him in the face. The policemen had to use reasonable force to stop the attacker, as he did not identify himself, and when it became clear that he was a Knesset member, he was immediately released.”
