In an interview with Galei Tzahal, Meretz chairman Nitzan Horowitz attacked the prime minister's remarks last night, saying: "Netanyahu called for an uprising. Such a person should be prevented from continuing to serve as prime minister."

Referring to the imposition of the mandate to form the government, Horowitz said: "I was disappointed that New Hope and the Joint List did not recommend Lapid. If they had recommended him - he would have had a majority, and he could have received the mandate today and started forming the government. All the games are a pity."
