A Palestinian Arab resident of Hizma and another man from eastern Jerusalem were arrested overnight Sunday following a police chase, after colliding with a vehicle of the Border Police at the Hizma crossing.
The two tried to escape a police check and during the chase hit the police vehicles. The police fired in the air, but the suspects continued fleeing until they tried to break through a checkpoint, where they were arrested. A Border Police fighter was lightly injured in the incident.
