US media sources reported that G Gordon Liddy, one of the masterminds behind the Watergate burglary, died on Tuesday. He was 90 years at the time of his passing.
Liddy was convicted of conspiracy, burglary and illegal wiretapping for his part in the incident, which led to President Nixon's resignation.
