Channel 12 News reported that Prime Minister Netanyahu has torpedoed Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi's trip to the UAE.
Ashkenazi was scheduled to fly to Dubai and Abu Dhabi tomorrow (Monday) to inaugurate the Israeli missions in the two locations, but Netanyahu prevented the trips from taking place. Foreign Ministry officials claimed the reason for the delay is that Netanyahu did not want Ashkenazi to make the first top-level visit to the Gulf kingdom. "He did not want the foreign minister to get there before him," they stated.
