The Tel Aviv Municipality announced it will not be willing to hire municipal workers in city schools and kindergartens who have not received the COVID vaccine. Potential employees will also be required to present the "Green Passport" certificate of vaccination.
Tel Aviv joins the cities of Kfar Saba, Bnei Brak, Ramla and Petah Tikva in authorizing this measure.
The Teachers' Union pointed out that the provision does not apply to school and kindergarten teachers employed by the education system but only municipal workers.
