In anticipation of International Women's Day to be marked tomorrow, the Employment Service today published the "Occupational Coronavirus Report in Light of Gender," which examines the occupational effects of the coronavirus crisis on women compared to men in Israel.
The data from the report show that throughout the months of the crisis, women constituted a majority among job seekers and their rate ranged from 52.5% to 58.5%, a rate significantly higher than the rate of men entering and during each of the three closures. In April, the number of women demanding work peaked at 621,081 compared to 500,246 men.
