Rabbi Pinchas Salzman, rabbi of Moldova and rabbinical judge in courts in Israel and abroad, responded to the High Court's decision to recognize Reform and Conservative conversions made in Israel.
"This is a scandalous and painful decision that will tear the Jewish people in two and begin the era of genealogy books among the Jewish People. The government must intervene to fix the distorted decision that is liable to tear apart families which will be split into converts who converted halakhically and converts who converted with fictitious Reform conversions."
