The government has issued a temporary ban on transport to and from Jerusalem. The ban will go into effect at the close of Shabbat on Saturday night.
While all public transportation will be banned, there will be a continuation of transport of employees as well as those working or studying at educational and welfare institutions whose operation is permitted.
Violation of the ban will result in a 5,000 shekel fine.
