Chief of Staff: 'We must act in value-based and uncompromising manner'

IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi spoke at Training Base 1 and called on new officers to act in a manner befitting officers.

"The eyes of our subordinates and of Israeli society as a whole are on us with the expectation that we will act in a value-based and uncompromising manner in all aspects, and certainly in this area concerning the lives and dignity of our subordinates.

"The IDF welcomes and respects every person regardless of religion, ethnicity, background, gender, or sexual orientation. The eyes of society as a whole are on us to behave with values. We are the flag-bearers."
