The director general of the Ministry of Interior, Mordechai Cohen, addressed a letter to all heads of local authorities, telling them to avoid organizing or funding activities and events on Purim in violation of Ministry of Health guidelines.
"The main goal is for Purim to go on without seeing a rise in the morbidity rate," he wrote in his letter.
