The Magistrate's Court in Haifa revoked the sweeping gag order in the case of the tar pollution disaster.
"The public's right to know is a constitutional right that is a cornerstone of a democratic regime. Media investigations can assist the investigating authorities in carrying out their work and that should not be seen as a matter that constitutes interference in the conduct of the investigation," the judge wrote.
