Dr. Yuval Arbel, a coordinator for the 'Zalul' organization, called the tar pollution on Israel's beaches a "world-class disaster."
"We are not sufficiently prepared to handle an event of this magnitude," he said in an interview with Kan News.
He said, "Israel chooses to receive the data from the satellite only in retrospect. I know that it is possible to get the information faster and know in advance. Israel is probably cutting corners. In my opinion, there is a failure here that they did not recognize this."
