The mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Lion, explained why he decided to open the education system today.
"It could be that in a normal year we would decide to close, but schooling has become an expensive commodity. The children have been at home enough, any school that can - should open its gates," Lion said in an interview with Galei Tzahal.
