Meir Spiegler, director-general of the National Insurance Institute, blasted the employment service in an interview on Reshet Bet radio on Tuesday night.
"The employment service caused 1 billion shekels in damage to the state coffers. Our conduct prevented damage of another 5 billion shekels. The demand that citizens report to the employment service must be eliminated. The money paid to citizens by mistake will be collected back, taking into account their situation," Spiegler said.
