An Arab was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a Hasid in Jerusalem on Silwan Street in the City of David for no reason and with violence about a week ago.

According to the complainant, the attacker hit him in the head, kicked and cursed and even threw him on a vehicle that was at the scene. An adult who passed by intervened and prevented the suspect from continuing the assault.

Upon learning of the suspect's arrest, Advocate Haim Bleicher from the Honenu organization which is assisting the victim said "My client was severely attacked in an anti-Semitic manner while going up with his friend from immersion at the Shiloah spring. My client and his friend are yeshiva students with a traditional Hasidic appearance," he noted in his letter to the police.
