Corona Commissioner Prof. Nachman Ash said in a discussion in the Corona Cabinet that "there are more than 5,000 patients a day. We stand at about a thousand critically ill patients. If two months ago someone had said that in today's situation we would open the economy, I would say he is crazy."
"We are opening because we see the importance. The data are improving but as the economy opens up they will go back up and it will be very bad," he said. "An irresponsible opening will lead to another closure. Is that good for the economy or education? Next week we will reach three million vaccinated, but that's only a third. This is not herd immunity. We need to look at it in a real way and not be blinded by the improving data."
