The chairman of Religious Zionism, MK Betzalel Smotrich, last night addressed the Prime Minister and Ministers Deri, Edelstein and Litzman with a request to promote an opening plan for the vaccinated and recovered for synagogues, similar to the cultural plan.
In his letter, Smotrich noted that on the coming Shabbat synagogues will recite Parshat "Zachor", an important mitzvah from the Torah, and according to the weather report, it is expected to be wintery and rainy and it will be difficult to perform the mitzvah properly and may produce uncontrolled gatherings. Later, MK Smotrich sought a cabinet decision on a clear and transparent outline with a uniform standard that will create public trust whereby, according to green pass, synagogues will open, and create a sense for all publics in the State of Israel that their values are taken into account in decision-making.
