The Ministerial Committee for the Coronavirus confirmed today in a telephone vote that those entering Israel by land and sea will not enter Israel without having a negative COVID test performed 72 hours before leaving the country from which they arrive (except in case of humanitarian need or special personal need for exceptional clearance), similar to those entering Israel via aircraft. Violation of this provision will be subject to a fine of NIS 2,500. The policy will take effect from Sunday, February 14, 2021 for the purpose of preparing those who are abroad.

It was also confirmed that all those entering Israel will be required to perform a test after entering. At border crossings where there is no place to carry out a test, the test will be carried out at the place of isolation under State auspices. Violation of this provision will be subject to a fine of NIS 3,500. Policy will take effect within 24 hours.
