According to the AFP, officials in Bangkok, Thailand, have "banned the issuing of marriage licenses on Valentine's Day to stop the spread of Covid-19."
Yahoo! News reported that Thailand's Public Relations Department said that, "the cancellation aims to prevent the spread of Covid19."
The Chinese New Year festival in the capital city's Chinatown has also been called off.
The report said there are currently more than 23,000 virus cases in the country following a new wave.
